Supervise and direct a mechanical maintenance team of approximately 20 employees, coordinating repairs, preventive and corrective actions, work schedules, shutdowns, and maintenance reporting. Promote safe work practices, deliver training, manage employee performance, ensure compliance with quality and ISO procedures, and apply company policies and collective agreement provisions.

Evaluate test results and production data to approve or hold wire rod for customer release, coordinate release priorities, and maintain rod inventory records. Conduct metallurgical testing and defect investigations, support production troubleshooting and customer complaint analysis, and document quality findings and corrective actions.

Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee material and scrap inventory controls, reconciliations, cycle counts, and month-end activities. Develop inventory reporting and improvement initiatives, support audits and compliance, and train personnel in inventory management procedures.
