Role Description The Industrial Sales Representative – Food & Pharma Microbiology is a full-time, on-site role based in Tottenham, ON. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with food and pharmaceutical industry clients, promoting microbiology and diagnostic products, and identifying opportunities to grow sales within assigned territories. The representative will conduct client visits, product demonstrations, and training sessions, while providing consultative support to help customers select appropriate solutions for their laboratory and quality control needs. Day-to-day tasks include managing the sales pipeline, responding to customer inquiries, preparing quotations, and collaborating with internal teams and global partners to ensure timely delivery and support. The role also involves monitoring market trends, gathering customer feedback, and contributing to sales strategies that align with Micronostyx’s vision and goals. Qualifications Strong customer service and client relationship management skills, with a focus on responsiveness and follow-through. Clear communication and interpersonal communication skills for engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven sales skills, including prospecting, negotiation, and closing, ideally within laboratory, food, or pharmaceutical sectors. Experience delivering training or product education to customers or internal teams. Background or education in microbiology, life sciences, or a related field is an asset. Ability to understand and explain technical product information and applications in food and pharma microbiology. Comfort with on-site client visits, travel within assigned territory, and working independently to meet sales targets. Proficiency with CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and basic reporting for sales tracking and forecasting.
