Job Title: Senior Programmer Analyst Level 3 Location: Onsite in Fredericton, NB Seniority on the skill/s required on this requirement: Senior Estimated Duration: 1 year with possible extension to another 9 months Work authorization: any (candidate must be authorized to work in CA) Job Description Support an internal technical team in modernizing core infrastructure for a major public infrastructure department. The initial primary focus is a large-scale, end-to-end replacement of a legacy vendor solution with a custom-built, field-ready Construction Management System (CMS), alongside a pipeline of upcoming development projects utilizing the same technology stack. Responsibilities Application development: Develop new applications or components of applications to meet functional specifications as requested. Solution development: Code and deploy approved solutions to problems throughout the appropriate areas of the technology stack (ie. VB.Net, Visual Studio, Oracle database, PL/SQL and Azure DevOps). Problem identification and solution proposal: Analyze bug reports and/or change requests for modifications to existing functionality and propose solutions for fixes and/or updates to the support team. Technical Documentation: Provide or update documentation per unit standards (to be provided as needed) to support bug fixes and/or implemented changes. Requirements 15 Years of IM/IT experience Experience as a VB.Net WinForm Programmer Analyst Experience with Oracle PL/SQL database design and development Spoken and written competence in English. Experience in developing and maintaining VB .Net WinForm code Experience in developing and contributing to the use and growth of an internal application framework/template/code library Experience in interpreting and defining Oracle database table and field specifications for complex systems. Experience in reading and analyzing complex database schemas. Experience managing large projects/codebases in Visual Studio and coordinating updates to those projects among multiple developers with version control software. Experience in Oracle PL/SQL including creation, maintenance and debugging of advanced packages, procedures, function and triggers. Experience in developing and maintaining SSRS Reports. Experience working with a distributed team across multiple disciplines (Business Analysts, DBAs, Developers, and end users). Experience in elicitation and analysis activities, including stakeholder engagement, process review, and documentation of functional and non-functional requirements.
