Job Summary Responsible for the production of parts that meet customer requirements in quality and output in a safe fashion. Required Qualifications Experience with Metal Fabrication an asset 2 years experience with brakepress Ability to read drawings, blueprints and specifications Ability to use Tape Measure, Vernier and other measuring tools Ability to identify and change Brake Press tools Ability to work independently or with supervision Capable to lift up to 50lbs or 23 kilograms from ground to table level Mathematical aptitude Essential Functions Assure that 1st off/1st Part is inspected and meets Quality Assurance requirements Bend parts according to provided drawings and specifications Completion of data entry and/or paperwork as required Program, set up Machines to meet customer requirements in output and quality Operating the brake press to bend, form, and cut metal sheets. Interface with Quality and Engineering Must notify lead hand and/or supervisors of all dysfunctional and/or unsafe equipment or work practices Work Environment 100% Plant floor (PPE required) Constant communication with employees, peers and management Overtime as required Health, Safety And Environment Must work in accordance with health and safety regulations, company rules, plant rules, policies and procedures Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or certain clothing as required by the company. All employees are prohibited from walking under a suspended hoist, cranes or forklifts. All employees must follow all LOTO procedures Comply with all environmental requirements including our recycling program.
