As Director, Site and Decommissioning Projects, you'll lead a multidisciplinary team, guide the long-term site end-state strategy, and work alongside Indigenous Nations, regulators, and industry partners to deliver lasting results for the site and the communities around it. If you're ready to take on work with real legacy and real impact, we'd love to talk. What You'll Be Doing Provide strategic direction, governance, and oversight for the site and decommissioning project portfolio, aligned with site end-state objectives, corporate priorities, and regulatory commitments. Lead major decommissioning projects through to Gate 4 approval under the companies Gating and Sanctioning process, while owning scope, schedule, cost, risk, and technical baselines. Lead development and implementation of the end-state strategy, covering environmental remediation, land use, infrastructure disposition, waste management, and regulatory closure. Lead engagement with Indigenous Nations and communities, regulators (including CNSC), government agencies, local stakeholders, and industry partners, and represent the company in consultations, reviews, and audits. Oversee the handoff of approved projects to delivery organizations and support them through execution, capturing lessons learned along the way. Promote a strong nuclear safety culture and ensure all work meets regulatory, licence, environmental, and quality requirements. Mentor and develop project management and technical staff, set clear accountability, and build an inclusive, high-performing team across line and matrixed resources. Steward budgets and resources, recommend investment and priority decisions, and report to senior leadership and governance committees. What You'll Need To Be Successful Engineering, scientific, or managerial background with expertise in the nuclear field. At least 10 years in program or project management, including leading project teams and/or project portfolios. Experience in decommissioning, mine closures, site remediation, excavation, and trenching Strong grounding in the technical and regulatory aspects of nuclear and conventional operations, with the ability to apply and explain regulations and standards. Working knowledge of the Nuclear Safety Act (an asset). Broad knowledge of nuclear decommissioning, environmental remediation, waste management, and industry best practices. Understanding of CNL governance, project sanctioning, and strategic planning. Proven leadership and the ability to achieve results through others. Strong written and oral communication skills across all levels and organizations. Business sense and financial knowledge to plan, manage, and monitor budgets. Experience managing major projects or large programs, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities. Strong team-building, problem-solving, and change management skills. Sound judgment, diplomacy, and resilience in a high-accountability environment. Ability to walk, stand, and climb stairs or ladders in industrial and nuclear work environments, and to respond to site alarms and safety signals
