Responsibilities * Assist in the completion of tax engagements by computing taxes owed, preparing personal and corporate tax returns (and other compliance slips), preparing year-end tax forms (T4s and T5s), calculating and reviewing share capital * Set up files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses * Prepare journal entries and provide bookkeeping services * Review legal documents such as articles of incorporation, purchase agreements and amalgamation agreements * Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies and discuss with managers or engagement partners to develop resolutions * Correspond with clients and various government agencies to address client tax compliance issues * Assist in the preparation of correspondence, technical reports, client summaries and presentations outlining engagement findings, facts and highlights * Work collaboratively with the client engagement team * Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary Skills and Experience * Post-secondary degree or certificate in accounting or another relevant field * The following would be considered an asset: * Experience in an accounting, customer service and/or client service environment * Experience in financial statement analysis and preparation of tax returns * Experience working with accounting and tax software * Working knowledge of the Canadian Income Tax Act MyRewards@MNP With a focus on high-potential earnings, MNP is proud to offer customized rewards that support our unique culture and a balanced lifestyle to thrive at work and outside of the office. Requirements

Candidates must possess a post-secondary degree or certificate in accounting or a relevant field. Experience in accounting, financial statement analysis, and knowledge of the Canadian Income Tax Act are considered strong assets.
