About the role Coast Mountain Bus Company (CMBC), the largest operating company in the TransLink enterprise and one of BC's Top Employers, is hiring an Auto Body and Collision Technician. You will keep Metro Vancouver's bus and transit fleet in top condition — a fleet that carries nearly 1.1 million passengers every day. This is a full-time, on-site position working 37.5 hours per week. Responsibilities - General body work on buses and other transit vehicles: corrosion restoration, body maintenance, and collision repair - Metal bumping, filling, sanding, and welding (mild steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and assorted plastics) - Panel replacement, heavy frame straightening, plywood floor repairs, and glass replacement - Repair and replacement of fiberglass and other plastic materials Qualifications - BCTQ / Red Seal certification in Automotive Body Repair - Completed apprenticeship in auto body repair plus journeyperson experience in vehicle collision repair - Experience with modern repair methods preferred; applicants may be asked to demonstrate their ability - Capable, after training, of holding a Class 2 driver's licence with air ticket - Up-to-date driver's abstract (maximum 6 points in the past 3 years; no impaired convictions, roadside suspensions, or prohibitions in the past 5 years) - Must pass a comprehensive medical examination Pay & benefits - $55.09 per hour - Extended health and dental coverage, transit pass, and enrollment in the Public Service Pension Plan - Tuition reimbursement, training, and mentorship programs - Health and wellness programs including gym facilities How to apply Submit your application through this posting.
