Senior Structural Engineer/Technical Lead Location: Kingston, ON - hybrid Employment Type: Full-time/Permanent Our client is a well-established multidisciplinary engineering firm that specializes in land development engineering, structural engineering, and building services (mechanical and electrical). They are looking for a Technical Lead/Senior Structural Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis in Kingston on a hybrid basis. Role and Responsibilities: Lead the successful planning, execution, and completion of structural engineering projects for our clients - with a strong focus on quality, cost-effective delivery, safety, and compliance. Act as Project Manager on single-discipline projects, keeping them on time and on budget. Coordinate with Project Management team on multi-disciplinary projects to keep things moving forward as planned. Provide technical expertise, guidance, training, and mentorship to your team. Write proposals and reports, review designs, and coordinate with vendors and clients. Using your extensive knowledge of building codes and structural standards: OBC Part 4, CSA A23.3, CSA S16, CSA S136, CSA O86 Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, with an emphasis in Structural Engineering. P.Eng. designation in good standing with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO). 8+ years of experience in an Engineering role. Comfortable with field work: construction sites, contractors, and building relationships in the Kingston area are a regular part of this role. Proficient in Microsoft Office and structural analysis software (e.g., SAFI GSE, S-Frame, SPSlab, MASS, Woodworks); basic coding experience is a plus. Strong, client-focused work ethic, and entrepreneurial approach.
