Position Description As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be accountable to: Perform electrical testing and troubleshooting on HVAC systems to identify and resolve issues promptly. Inspect and maintain electrical components, including motors, control panels, sensors, and wiring. Diagnose and repair complex electrical problems using diagnostic tools, multimeters, and PLC programming. Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement energy-efficient HVAC control strategies. Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Document maintenance and repair activities accurately for record-keeping purposes. Train and mentor junior technicians in electrical testing procedures and safety protocols. Respond to emergency service calls to address critical electrical issues in a timely manner. Install, replace, repair and test electrical circuits and equipment such as electrical controls, join and connect wires, test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits, troubleshoot and isolate faults. Electrical troubleshooting knowledge diagnose control and hardware malfunctions Highly organized, detail orientated, and an ability to multi-task. Assist and/or direct interpreting drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to better help execute electrical installation and troubleshooting QA/QC testing and documentation Willingness to provide guidance and training to electrical apprentices The incumbent must be physically fit in order to climb ladders and work at heights Strong communication and problem-solving skills Adhere to all company environmental, heath, and safety policies and procedures. Availability for overtime on weekdays/weekends when required Afternoon Shift: 3:00PM- 11:30PM - Monday to Friday Required Education & Qualifications 2 years of experience as an HVAC Electrical Technician or a related role. Proficiency in electrical testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of HVAC systems. Knowledge of PLC systems, electrical components, and safety protocols. Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work independently to identify and resolve electrical issues. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to safety protocols.
