Inside Sales / Yard Associate - Mitchell Reports to: Retail Sales Manager / Yard Supervisor Wage: 18.00 Position Summary At Moffatt & Powell RONA, exceptional customer service and continuous improvement are central to who we are. The Inside Sales / Yard Associate plays a key role in delivering customer service excellence both inside the store and throughout the yard. This hybrid position supports customers with product selection, purchases, and building material needs while maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming environment. Core Competencies Customer Service Communication Problem Solving Detail Orientation Accountability Dependability Teamwork Ethics and Integrity Key Responsibilities Customer Interaction & Service Greet customers promptly and warmly, ensuring a positive and professional experience. Assess customer needs and provide knowledgeable advice on store and yard products. Assist contractors and customers with loading and unloading materials safely and efficiently. Operate the cash terminal, processing purchases, returns, exchanges, and issuing receipts. Ensure all products leaving the yard have been properly invoiced and/or paid for. Product Knowledge & Sales Support Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of products, features, and applications through vendor and internal training. Support sales objectives set by the Branch Leadership Team. Stay informed about current promotions, flyer pricing, and special offers. Inventory, Stock & Product Handling Verify returned products by checking customer return slips, ensuring accuracy and product integrity. Support inventory control through cycle counts, documentation, and reporting damaged products. Assist with stocking shelves, putting away received products, and replenishing merchandise from overstock. Update product codes as required to maintain accurate inventory records. Yard & Store Maintenance Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard, sheds, special‑order areas, and sales floor. Keep checkout and work areas tidy, clutter‑free, and aligned with store floor plans. Deliveries Accompany Delivery Truck Drivers and assist with deliveries as required. Safety & Compliance Adhere to all health and safety policies, procedures, and loss‑prevention guidelines. Maintain a safe working environment by promptly reporting concerns to management. Follow procedures related to product breakage and safe material handling.
