Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To Preparing a welcoming classroom environment that reflects a commitment to support students Providing students an educational experience designed to inspire and challenge them to achieve their full potential Supporting the growth and development of students through the delivery of the Montessori philosophy Maintain accurate student record keeping, including long and short-term lesson plans, observations and individual progress documentation Planning and participating in field trips, including overnight and out of province trips. Establishing positive relationships with other faculty members and parents in the school community Participating actively in all staff, faculty, and department meetings to plan, review, and implement learning Actively participant in the community life of the school, including attendance at school events Qualifications, Experience And Attributes Upper Elementary Montessori teacher training diploma (MACTE or AMI) Bachelor of Education is an asset A proven professional approach and work ethic A demonstrated passion for working with children Experience in creating an educational environment that enables students to learn, develop and grow to their full potential Strong communication skills required (oral and written) Effective classroom management and organizational skills Current Standard First Aid/CPR-C (or willing to obtain before starting) Current Vulnerable Screening Police Record Check (or willing to obtain before starting) Bannockburn Offers A supportive, inspiring learning and teaching environment Full time hours Competitive Salary based on training and experience Employee heath benefits Paid vacation, sick/personal days If you believe your teaching goals fit with the Bannockburn philosophy, please submit your resume along with a covering letter to: Jacqueline Richman, Head of School, at j.richman@bannockburn.ca. Requirements

An Upper Elementary Montessori teacher training diploma accredited by MACTE or AMI is required; a Bachelor of Education is an asset. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, a passion for working with children, strong communication and organizational skills, effective classroom management, and current Standard First Aid/CPR-C and a Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check, or willingness to obtain them before starting.
