Job summary
Location: Kanata (x2), Dartmouth (x1) Duration: 12 months You will provide technical, operations, and training support to users of company's personal computers either by telephone or on-site relative to desktop hardware and software packages. You’ll perform hardware diagnostics and coordinates repairs as well as install and test personal computers, printers, and other peripherals; configures operating system, applications and software programs. Support includes all end user services such as technical support for corporate computers, printers, conference rooms, digital signs and meetings. Responsibilities Desktop support responsible for end user computing, including hardware, software and account issues. Maintain and support AV equipment in conference rooms and provide additional audio and/or visual support for events including town-hall meetings, VTC and webcasts. Printer support. Windows OS installation, test and deploy windows images to systems. Software installation and support. Ensure IT practices are completed in accordance with security practices. IT purchase requisitioning. Maintain accurate inventory of computer hardware and other IT equipment. Proven Ability / Key Skills Excellent customer service and follow-up skills. Excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with IT customers, other employees, and management or guests. Proactive with the ability to work autonomously. Able to prioritize tasks. Resourcefulness and good judgment in problem-solving skills. Perform thorough troubleshooting and research. Community college with a diploma (technician) and/or related experience. Preference for Audio/Video experience in hosting webcasts, large meetings & events.
