Role Description The Auto Detailing Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Sidney, BC. This position is responsible for performing interior and exterior detailing on electric vehicles, including washing, polishing, waxing, vacuuming, upholstery cleaning, and thorough interior sanitization. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting vehicles for cosmetic issues, applying protective coatings, cleaning wheels and engine compartments where applicable, and ensuring each vehicle meets dealership standards before display or delivery. The technician will use detailing tools and products safely, maintain a clean and organized work area, follow established procedures, and collaborate with the sales and service teams to support an excellent customer experience. Qualifications Strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and general Maintenance & Repair to ensure vehicles are handled safely and correctly during detailing. Experience with basic Automotive Repair tasks, with an understanding of Suspension components as they relate to vehicle handling and care. Ability to perform routine service checks, with knowledge of Oil Changes and related systems, even though the focus is primarily on electric vehicles. Previous experience in auto detailing or car wash operations, including interior and exterior cleaning, polishing, and application of protective coatings. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to follow established procedures and safety guidelines. Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team; customer service experience is an asset. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience handling EVs or a strong interest in electric vehicles is an advantage.
