ROLE As a Medical Device Reprocessing Department (MDRD) Technician working a Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare you will receive, disassembles packages and sterilizes simple and complex instruments, supplies and equipment including tools used in Surgical Services and other Hospital departments Required Education & Certification(s) Secondary School Diploma MDRAO Certification in MDR Techniques Required Skills & Experience(s) Ability to operate medical device reprocessing related equipment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of medical terminology Ability to interpret instructions and fulfil as requested Experience with Healthcare oriented software programs Ability to exercise good judgement, take initiative and work independently Desired Skills, Experience(s) & Education Previous Hospital experience Additional Perks At Mahc Staff referral program $1000 (for each successful permanent part-time and permanent full-time new hire you refer to MAHC) Retention Bonus $7500 (permanent full-time/permanent part-time, eligible positions only) Extended health benefits (permanent full-time) Enrolment in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) Additional Information Location: Multi-Site, working on site at both the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH) located in Bracebridge and Huntsville District Memorial Hospital (HDMH) located in Huntsville. Applicants must reside within 125km of one of our hospital campuses or be willing to relocate prior to starting. *Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis Hours of Work: Must be available to work shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements per the collective agreement. Requirements

Candidates must have a Secondary School Diploma and MDRAO Certification in MDR Techniques. Ability to operate reprocessing equipment and knowledge of medical terminology are required.
