Azure Network & Palo Alto Engineer Location: 100% Remote – Canada (Eastern Time Zone preferred) Term: SHORT TERM - 6–8 Week Contract, with potential extension Start: ASAP Hours: 7.5 hours/day, 37.5 Hours per Week Travel: None Positions: 1 The Opportunity We are seeking a hands-on Azure Network & Palo Alto Engineer to support a time-sensitive enterprise Azure migration and Azure VMware Solution (AVS) implementation. The key requirement is strong Azure Networking expertise combined with hands-on Palo Alto VM-Series experience specifically within Azure. This is not a Palo Alto-only role; candidates must have strong Azure networking and cloud infrastructure experience. The successful candidate will work closely with cloud, infrastructure, security, and migration teams to validate designs, troubleshoot complex connectivity issues, and support implementation. Key Responsibilities Design, configure, validate, and troubleshoot Azure networking for an enterprise migration. Work with VNets, subnets, UDRs, NSGs, Private Endpoints, Azure DNS, and routing. Support Azure Hub-Spoke and/or Azure Virtual WAN architectures. Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Palo Alto Networks VM-Series firewalls in Azure. Configure Palo Alto routing, security policies, NAT, HA, and traffic inspection. Support hybrid connectivity using ExpressRoute, VPN, and BGP. Integrate Palo Alto firewalls within Azure Landing Zone / enterprise-scale Azure architectures. Validate connectivity across Azure, AVS, and on-premises environments. Troubleshoot routing conflicts, asymmetric routing, firewall policies, DNS, and connectivity issues. Collaborate with cloud, security, infrastructure, and migration teams under tight project timelines. Required Experience Strong hands-on Azure Networking experience. Strong hands-on Palo Alto VM-Series in Azure experience. Azure VNets, subnets, UDRs, NSGs, Private Endpoints, DNS, and routing. Azure Hub-Spoke and/or Azure Virtual WAN architecture. Palo Alto routing, NAT, security policies, HA, traffic inspection, and troubleshooting. ExpressRoute, VPN, BGP, and hybrid cloud connectivity. Experience integrating Palo Alto into Azure Landing Zone or enterprise Azure environments. Strong troubleshooting skills across networking, routing, firewall, DNS, and connectivity issues. Ability to contribute quickly and independently within a short, fast-moving engagement. Nice to Have Azure VMware Solution (AVS) networking experience. VMware NSX-T / NSX Distributed Firewall knowledge. Experience integrating AVS, Azure VNets, ExpressRoute, and Palo Alto. Large-scale VMware-to-Azure or VMware-to-AVS migrations. Enterprise landing zones, security zones, and hybrid connectivity patterns. Ideal Candidate A senior, hands-on Azure networking specialist who has actually deployed and supported Palo Alto firewalls within Azure environments. You can quickly assess an existing design, identify risks, troubleshoot complex connectivity problems, and help an enterprise migration team execute under aggressive timelines. Must Have: Azure Networking + Palo Alto VM-Series in Azure. Candidates with Palo Alto experience but limited Azure networking experience will not be considered. , Nick Theodossiou
