A career as an Associate Vice President, Agri-Food within the Agribusiness and Agri-Food team at National Bank means acting as a strategic leader in specialized financing and business development. In this role, you will have a tangible impact on the growth of the Bank’s national agribusiness portfolio by leveraging your expertise in commercial financing, market development, and team leadership. Your Role Define and execute the national growth strategy for the Agribusiness and Agri-Food commercial portfolio across Canada. Lead, coach, and develop a team of specialists to foster engagement, performance, and talent development. Identify and develop new markets, business segments, and growth strategies aligned with the Bank’s strategic priorities. Represent the Bank within the industry by participating in business development initiatives and market events. Drive innovation by designing specialized financing solutions tailored to the realities of the agribusiness and agri-food sector while anticipating industry trends. Build, present, and advocate for strategic business cases to senior management while ensuring sound risk management practices. Your Team The Agribusiness and Agri-Food team is made up of specialists who work in an agile, proactive, and collaborative environment to support businesses across the sector with their growth initiatives and financing needs. Within this specialized sector, you will lead a team of approximately 9 direct reports as well as 15 additional colleagues in a matrix structure. You will play a key role in expanding our presence across Canada. Prerequisites Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience. Significant experience in commercial lending, including syndicated financing. Demonstrated expertise in complex financing structures and credit risk analysis. Strong track record in business development and negotiating large-scale transactions. Knowledge of the agricultural or agribusiness/agri-food sector. Professional designation as an Agronomist is considered an asset. Languages: French, English Reason to require this language: you will need to discuss frequently with our service providers or partners who speak a language other than French. Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree with at least 10 years of experience in commercial lending and complex financing structures. Proficiency in English and French is required, and a professional designation as an Agronomist is an asset.
