Role Description The Product Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based at Nelson Toyota in Nelson, BC. This role involves greeting and engaging customers, learning about their needs, and presenting suitable vehicle options in a clear and informed manner. The Product Advisor will conduct test drives, explain vehicle features, pricing, and financing options, and guide customers through the purchase process. Day-to-day tasks include following up with leads, maintaining product knowledge on current models and inventory, preparing accurate sales documentation, and collaborating with the sales and service teams to ensure a positive customer experience. The role also includes using dealership systems to track customer interactions and staying informed about promotions and market trends. Qualifications Strong Customer Service and Sales skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships. Clear and professional Communication skills, including active listening and the ability to explain technical information in accessible terms. Analytical Skills to understand customer needs, compare product options, and support sound recommendations. Product Management-related skills such as maintaining up-to-date knowledge of vehicle features, packages, and inventory. Previous experience in automotive sales or retail sales is an asset. Comfort using dealership software, CRM systems, and basic office applications. High level of integrity, reliability, and a customer-first mindset. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to work on-site, including evenings or weekends as required.
