Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Willing to relocate. Hospital/medical facility or clinic. Nursing home/home for the aged. Rehabilitation centre and special health institution. Chronic or long-term care facilities/centres. Tasks: Administer medications. Apply aseptic techniques including sterile dressing. Conduct specimen collection. Monitor nutritional intake. Provide technical assistance to surgeons by laying out instruments, setting up equipment, assisting surgical teams with gowns and gloves and passing instruments to surgeons. Clean and sterilize the operating room and instruments. Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures.
