POSITION SUMMARY As a member of the Paint Shop team, this position will be responsible for repairing fiberglass parts while adhering to company procedures. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Repair fiberglass, blisters, crackers, and low spots using power tools to drill, cut out and smooth defective areas. Repair any structural damage to the bus. Cut and fit fiberglass patches and fill holes with plastic fillers. Mix resins or plastic plant with catalyst and spray repaired surfaces. Buff surfaces to provide lustrous finish using buffing compound and portable buffer. Responsible for completing tasks to ensure performance targets are met. Maintain accurate information flow to support our first-time quality initiatives. Adhere to safety procedures as they apply to all equipment used in this position. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: Possess a basic understanding about the painting process/practices with the ability to read blueprints, and/or process sheets. Have great interpersonal and communication skills. Able to perform required duties with minimal supervision. Operate equipment and power/hand tools that are required in this position.
