Rainy River Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River mine is an open pit and underground, gold and silver producing, residential mine site. The Rainy River mine, located adjacent to the Ontario/Minnesota border is 65 kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. Applicants who reside in Northwestern Ontario and have experience working in a cross-cultural environment, coupled with knowledge of the unique challenges and opportunities presented to those living in the Northwest Ontario, are assets. About The Role Schedule: 5 days on /2 days off and followed by 4 days on / 3 days off Position Reports To: Finance Controller Position Overview This position is an entry level position within the finance department. The successful applicant will be exposed to a variety of functions within the Finance department. Key Responsibilities Enter invoices into the accounting system and process invoices Process employee expense claims Reconcile vendor monthly statements File and catalog old AP invoices Fill out asset forms with required information. Perform various administrative tasks and other ad hoc projects as required. Qualifications Grade 12 diploma / GED Post-Secondary diploma or degree in the area of accounting or equivalent is preferred Previous experience working in an office is considered an asset Skilled user of Microsoft Office programs Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail Enthusiastic and proactive individual with strong willingness to learning and developing Compensation The anticipated salary range for this position will be between $55,000 to 65,000.
