About The Role Schedule: 7/7 Thursday - Wednesday Position Reports To: Senior Planning Engineer Key Responsibilities Prepare the short term schedule in Deswik.OPS for rehab, development, etc. Attend the Rehab lineup, and others when applicable Audit the actuals reported in Deswik.OPS from the previous shift and follow up with shifters or other stakeholders as needed to confirm accuracy. Compile and present data from actuals to aid with forecasting. Review and update the schedule with stakeholders through various communications (e.g. meetings, emails, etc.) to ensure accuracy and alignment. Look ahead in the schedule to identify opportunities for improvements. Enter received work requests into Deswik.OPS and follow up. Provide ongoing support to others in the IOC team (Dispatch, Orb Controller, etc) as questions arise or when coverage is needed. Attend the 4:00pm or 4:00am meeting Qualifications Degree in mine engineering or related field, or minimum of 5 years of underground mining experience with evidence of scheduling and executing a plan. Experience using common software (Microsoft excel, project, word) Must possess effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities Organized self-starter with a proven ability to work independently, prioritize and work under pressure. Other Requirements Candidates will be required to participate in a comprehensive qualification process, including: Successful completion of pre-placement functional screen Provide proof of a valid Class 5 driver’s license Demonstrate eligibility to work in Canada Provide confirmation of valid educational requirements Compensation The anticipated salary for this position will be between $85,000 and $110,000. A comprehensive benefits program and performance bonus plan will also be provided. This is not a camp operation and therefore the successful candidate will be required to relocate to the Kamloops area or travel and accommodation will be the responsibility of the successful applicant.
