Job summary

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a part-time Project Manager to support a strategic enterprise system assessment and modernization planning engagement for a large public sector healthcare organization. Working alongside the Engagement Lead and a multidisciplinary consulting team, the Project Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day planning, coordination, governance, documentation, reporting, and project controls required to keep the engagement progressing effectively across multiple workstreams and milestones. The ideal consultant will bring strong project management discipline, excellent stakeholder and communication skills, and experience coordinating complex enterprise technology or business transformation initiatives. Experience with healthcare, public sector, Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), or Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is considered an asset but is not required. Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day project planning, coordination, and project controls across a multidisciplinary consulting engagement. Develop, maintain, and manage the integrated project plan, schedule, milestones, dependencies, and deliverable tracking. Coordinate activities across business analysis, data, architecture, integration, and other specialist workstreams. Support the Engagement Lead in maintaining overall engagement governance and delivery oversight. Establish and maintain project documentation, including status reports, meeting materials, decision logs, action registers, RAID logs, and other governance artifacts. Monitor project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and changes, ensuring appropriate owners, actions, and escalation. Coordinate stakeholder meetings, workshops, working sessions, governance forums, and executive meetings. Track actions and decisions through to completion and proactively identify activities or dependencies that could affect milestone delivery. Coordinate the development, review, quality assurance, and submission of milestone deliverables. Prepare clear project status reporting and governance materials for senior stakeholders and executive leadership. Work closely with client project resources to coordinate schedules, stakeholder participation, information requests, and project activities. Support resource and effort planning across the engagement as requirements and workstream demands evolve. Maintain effective communication across the consulting team and client stakeholders. Support project closeout, lessons learned, knowledge transfer, and transition to subsequent procurement and implementation planning activities. Requirements: 10+ years of experience managing complex enterprise technology, business transformation, or consulting engagements. Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary projects involving multiple concurrent workstreams, stakeholders, and dependencies. Strong experience developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, milestones, project documentation, and governance processes. Demonstrated experience with risk, issue, action, decision, dependency, and change management. Experience preparing project status reports, executive updates, steering committee materials, and other governance documentation. Strong experience coordinating workshops, stakeholder meetings, project teams, and senior leadership. Demonstrated ability to manage deliverables and maintain project momentum in environments where work is performed by multiple specialists and subject matter experts. Strong organizational, facilitation, written communication, and stakeholder-management skills. Experience working within established PMO or project governance frameworks. Experience with enterprise system assessment, modernization, replacement, or transformation initiatives is highly desirable. Healthcare or broader public sector project management experience is considered a strong asset. Experience supporting consulting/advisory engagements, assessments, business cases, roadmaps, or procurement planning is considered an asset. Experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), CMMS, facilities management, asset management, or IBM Maximo is considered an asset but is not required. PMP or comparable project management certification is considered an asset. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
