Job summary
New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Senior Software Developer with strong Microsoft technology experience to lead the technical execution of application development and modernization initiatives. This is a hands-on engineering role embedded within a cross-functional delivery team, responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying production-grade applications on the Azure platform using modern Microsoft technologies. The successful candidate will be accountable for end-to-end technical delivery, from requirements intake through production deployment, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with business outcomes. This role requires strong ownership, a quality-focused mindset, and the ability to challenge existing approaches, improve engineering practices, and collaborate effectively with business, product, architecture, QA, and technology teams. Experience with generative AI, AI-assisted development tools, or AI-native software development practices would be considered an asset. Responsibilities: Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions. Design, develop, test, and maintain complex enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, and system enhancements. Collaborate with business, product, architecture, QA, project, platform, security, infrastructure, data, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, integration, and production issues. Participate in Agile planning, estimation, code reviews, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement activities. Track technical progress, delivery readiness, dependencies, and blockers against project milestones. Identify, manage, and resolve technical risks, dependencies, and delivery constraints. Coordinate cross-team technical dependencies across platform, security, infrastructure, data, and DevOps teams. Ensure timely technical decisions are made and escalate delivery risks when required. Ensure the development team has the required information, access, environments, tools, and support needed to deliver successfully. Keep technical work aligned with project objectives, delivery timelines, architecture standards, and business outcomes. Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to development teams. Produce solution designs, technical specifications, development estimates, implementation guides, and knowledge-transfer materials. Create unit, integration, and system test artifacts to support solution quality. Deliver production-ready software releases that meet security, quality, maintainability, and performance standards. Requirements: 6+ years of professional software development experience, including unit testing, production support, and problem resolution using Microsoft Azure technologies in an Agile environment. 3+ years of experience in a Software Development Lead, Technical Lead, Senior Developer, Architect, or equivalent role. Strong hands-on experience with the Microsoft technology stack, including: C# / .NET (ideally .NET 8+) and Web APIs Angular / TypeScript / RxJS Azure, particularly Functions, Service Bus, Storage, Application Insights, and Key Vault REST APIs and system integrations Azure DevOps and CI/CD Proven experience delivering enterprise-grade applications across the full software development lifecycle. Strong understanding of application architecture, design patterns, APIs, system integration, databases, testing, and troubleshooting. Strong full-stack development and problem-solving skills. Experience with DevOps, Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and production support. Demonstrated ability to own features end-to-end, work independently through ambiguity, resolve complex issues, and deliver high-quality solutions. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with business and technical teams. Demonstrated technical leadership, including mentoring and guiding developers. Strong leadership and delivery skills, including technical decision-making, planning and estimation, risk and dependency management, cross-team coordination, stakeholder communication, and the ability to unblock delivery teams.
