Newly Weds Foods is looking for a passionate and results-oriented Account Manager - Sales for the Ontario Market to drive growth across our portfolio of coatings and seasonings. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a direct impact by building strong partnerships, identifying new opportunities, and helping customers bring innovative food products to market. Summary: Provide strong sales representation of NWF’s strengths and capabilities and provide related services to bring to fruition a market strategy that secures and grows your customer base within an assigned area while keeping the Commercial Director of Sales fully informed of all important concerns and initiatives that may have a significant effect upon that strategy. Essential Duties: Drive new business by identifying and pursuing opportunities with prospective accounts, including delivering presentations, leading business reviews, and responding to RFPs. Strengthen relationships with existing customers through regular sales calls, product promotions, and proactive account management. Collaborate with customers to introduce new products, monitor inventory needs, and resolve any challenges quickly and effectively. Negotiate pricing, manage contracts, and ensure mutually beneficial agreements. Represent Newly Weds Foods at major industry trade shows and conventions. Contribute to special projects and initiatives as needed. Represent our company professionally and with integrity in a designated sales territory. Establish a stretch sales budget and meet it or exceed it. Acquire and constantly update knowledge of our customers, our competition and market influences. Fundamental market intelligence includes knowing customer corporate structure and contacts, their products and market brands, their markets and customers, customer capacities and allocation policies, customer competition, a strategic plan to secure and grow market share and constant vigilance to secure customer confidence and preference for NWF. Know and make best use of NWF resources, including R&D, tech support, TTU, pilot plant, product demo’s, etc. Supply information to Marketing Service to enable NWF to establish and maintain reasonable and defendable profit. Do accurate and informative reporting in the timelines prescribed. Prepare and respect travel budget as needed to visit/service customers. Maintain an active relationship with all levels at NWF: R&D, operations, customer service, sales managers from other regions. Do team sale meetings and keep colleagues informed of customer activities. Maintain company-supplied vehicle. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field. Five to seven plus years of sales experience, preferably in food ingredients or food manufacturing Experience with Major Retailers, QSR’s and Foodservice Customers is necessary. Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Analytical mindset with strong organizational abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general business applications. Work Environment: Home office based, with Mississauga plant visits and a field sales environment. Exposure to food production settings, including occasional loud environments and strong food ingredient aromas (including spices) Fast-paced, collaborative environment with a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction.
