The Driller is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various drilling equipment in an open-pit mining environment. They must conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate logbooks, and adhere to all safety protocols and fleet management systems. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and at least 2 years of experience in an open-pit drilling program. Preference is given to those with at least 1 year of experience operating specific drill models like the Sandvik 412, Pit Viper 451, or Leopard 650.
