Job summary
Flight Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all the food catering items and service is handled professionally, fully, and in a timely manner for all international flights. The individual will fill all the carts with the appropriate food items, assist in loading the carts onto the trucks and planes, and provide exceptional customer service to the flight crew and attendants. For each flight, go on the runway to meet with cabin crew and to review with them delivered merchandise in detail Responsible for supervising and checking all food production requirements are fulfilled Control conformity of final production prior to delivery Coordinate with dispatchers, make last minute arrangements to solve issues or to bring missing things Inspect, Label, Close and Seal trolleys according to all airport safety requirements Ensure correct number of meals for each flight are ready, packed and assigned correctly according to all customer specifications & client instructions booklets Check aircraft trolleys and meals to ensure all are adhering to Newrest high quality standards Assist in assembly line when necessary to help them complete flight on time, helping by providing efficient & diligent last-minute help (setting up trays, preparing and packaging food, put the final touch to required delivery) Conduct physical counts and pack additional equipment or products Assist in inventory when needed Comply with all safety rules and company standards Wear uniforms and safety shoes while on duty Check conformity and quantity of trolleys and boxes to be delivered before loading Communicate any malfunction to hierarchy and other teams Fill required security documents (certificate ...) and proceed appropriate labelling, controls Perform other duties as assigned Pay attention to your appearance (wear appropriate outfit, adopt professional dressing & attitude to serve clients at your best) Maintain clean working area, maintain clean loading docks, maintain clean equipment following rules In absence of the Managers, you are required to follow all instructions from the Dispatchers Ability to pass all required airport security clearance for Purple Pass / RAIC Ability to read in English, write in English, speak in English Good knowledge of HACCP (training will be provided otherwise) Ability to handle pressure in a fast paced environment Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends (depending on assigned shift) Ability to work in a fast paced environment Attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to stand for long periods & to work in cold rooms for extended periods (below 50°F - 10°C) Attendance, diligence, punctuality, reliability About Newrest Specialist in out-of-home catering in 54 countries, and the only player to intervene in all sectors of catering and related services, Newrest is one of the world leaders in multi-sector catering.
