The job involves: Laying out, assembling, repairing, troubleshooting, maintaining, connecting and testing power equipment, electrical fixtures, conduit, junction boxes, circuit protection devices, and related equipment Completing all on-demand and preventative maintenance work orders Working with external contractors by providing escorts, assistance and direction Assisting with maintaining spare parts inventory by requesting purchase orders Reading blueprints Thorough knowledge of all activities and promotions occurring at our casino properties Working independently and as one team that helps and supports one another Working safely, and in compliance with OH&S policies and legislation Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation The ideal candidate has: Certificate of Qualification 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician in good standing Minimum two (2) years working in the electrical trade in a construction or commercial environment including working knowledge of HVAC controls, VSD’s, Lutron Lighting, fire alarm, UPS (Powerware) and Generator Knowledge & training in the following areas: Arc Flash, Man-Lift operation, Fall Arrest, High Voltage (13,800 volts) and WHMIS Valid “G” driver’s license and clean driving record Excellent organizational and time management skills Fire Alarm Technician certification and fire extinguisher handling We confirm that we do not use AI in screening of applicants, and this position is an existing vacancy We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted Niagara Casinos is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive environment by providing equal opportunity to candidates of all abilities.
