Full-Time Support Staff (12-month Contract) Reporting to the Associate Registrar, Recruitment the Recruitment Tours and Events Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership, support and professional expertise in the planning and execution of student recruitment events and the campus tours program. The Coordinator will work with many members of the University community, as well as with community partners and suppliers, to collaboratively plan and execute high quality events and functions in support of Nipissing’s strategic recruitment priorities. The Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the campus tour program. This involves selection, scheduling, and training, of student employees, as well as, critical evaluation, development, and maintenance of a strategic tour program. The hours of work may rotate and be flexible depending on the needs of the department. Events and tours are regularly held in the evening and on weekends and the Coordinator will be required to work a flexible schedule. The Recruitment Tours and Events Coordinator will be notified in advance of any changes to the regularly scheduled shifts as outlined in the Article 22.02 of the collective agreement. The successful candidate will hold a university degree in a related field, Business Marketing, Hospitality, Event Planning or Communications and have a minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of relevant work experience. Experience Planning and coordinator large events, working with university student and excellent time management and organizational skills would be considered an asset. This position is classified as Wage Grade 60, with a wage range from $28.70 per hour (Step 1) to $36.34 per hour (Step 9). Placement within the salary range will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as internal equity and market conditions.
