This includes operating ambulances in responding to emergencies and routine calls; conducting physical examinations; performing comprehensive assessments and tests; interpreting a variety of tests and procedures; initiating a variety of advanced interventions; and performing other related duties as required. Work is performed with considerable independence and is reviewed through observation, examination of records and reports, and the presence or absence of valid complaints. The ACP functions as a leader and mentor within the paramedicine program.The Primary Care Paramedic works as an active member of the health care team providing pre-hospital assessment and medical care to people with acute illnesses or injuries while maintaining a high standard of care to the patients. Work is performed with considerable independence and is reviewed through observation, examination of records and reports, and the presence or absence of valid complaints.
