Reporting to the Business Unit Controller, the Junior Accountant will be responsible for various administration and organization tasks required for the successful and efficient operation of accounts receivable and month end reporting within the team. Duties & Responsibilities Accounts Receivable Processing invoices for monthly progresses provided by Project Managers Produce time and material invoices Communicate with Project Managers to verify invoicing information such as job, equipment, materials, hours of work, etc. Communicate with customers, follow up on payment approval status, or other required documentation and perform collection activities Preparation and updates of weekly Accounts Receivable collections list Processing credit card payments Month End Reporting Assist with preparation and posting recurring journal entries, month-end accruals, and other general ledger adjustments Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and analyze account variances to ensure accuracy and completeness Other Responsibilities Maintain projects in Infor LN including: creating jobs, activity codes and billing items; tracking invoicing and payment status; importing budgets Perform administrative duties such as answering phones, filing and record management, photocopying, mailings, or letters Other administrative duties as assigned by the Business Unit Controller Qualifications & Skills CPA student preferred Degree or diploma in Business or Accounting preferred 1 to 3 years’ accounting experience preferably in a construction environment Strong MS Office Software skills (primarily Excel and Outlook) Experience working with an ERP system (Infor LN) Ability to work independently and as a team player Excellent communication skills Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry Excellent time management, prioritization, multitasking and organizational skills Compensation The role is a fixed-term, full-time position with a typical starting salary range of $51,800 - $64,800 per annum. Variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate's qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role. What you’ll do

Requirements

Candidates should ideally be CPA students with a degree or diploma in Business or Accounting and 1 to 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction. Proficiency in MS Office and experience with ERP systems like Infor LN are highly desired.
