As a Designer, you will work with other members of the design team in order to develop design solutions appropriate to the context, budget and aesthetic requirements of architectural projects. You will collaborate with other professional disciplines and have opportunities to coordinate the design through all phases of the project. Duties and Responsibilities Compiles information from reports and published documents; evaluates and analyzes the information to understand broad requirements of project Develops architectural designs, to ensure an exemplary solution is delivered that meets quality parameters, project timelines and budgetary requirements Coordinates design intent with other disciplines Integrates engineering requirements, site surveys and field review information, adhering to applicable codes and jurisdictional requirements Prepares design reports, drawings and models following office standards Performs site visitations to determine compliance with construction documents; identifies any deviations and liaises with owner and contactor to resolve issues in a timely manner Reviews project products, services, and shop drawings to ensure adherence to project documents, relevant jurisdictional codes and corporate quality controls Required Skills Experience in all phases of the project cycle is required Architectural design software skills including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, PhotoShop, and other architectural design software Familiarity with MEP and Structural building systems and building codes is required Have successfully completed related post-secondary education Registered with a relevant professional architectural association is an asset Required Experience 7-10 years of project work experience Experience in Residential projects is an asset Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $105,000.00 /annually

The Designer will collaborate with the design team to develop architectural solutions that meet project context, budget, and aesthetic requirements, coordinating the design through all project phases with other professional disciplines. Duties include compiling and analyzing project information, developing architectural designs, integrating engineering and site requirements while adhering to codes, preparing documentation, and performing site visits to ensure construction compliance.

Candidates must have 7-10 years of project work experience, including experience in all phases of the project cycle, and proficiency in architectural design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and PhotoShop. Familiarity with MEP and Structural building systems and building codes is required, and having completed post-secondary education is necessary.
