Job description: Location: Mississauga, ON What we offer you • Medical, Rx, Dental, Disability, Life Insurance • Retirement Savings Plan • Education Assistance • Bonus Plan Eligibility • Parental Leave Starting Rate of pay: $44.50/hour ($1.00/hour deduction during probationary period – 900 hours worked) Shift Premium: • $0.65/hour extra for night shift • $0.50/hour extra for afternoon shift Shifts Available and Hours: Rotating shifts (Days / Afternoons / Midnights) as per production schedule as follows: • Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM • Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM • Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM Hours determined based on operational needs and seniority under the Collective Agreement What you will be doing • Troubleshoot and repair extrusion and industrial production equipment • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems • Work with Allen-Bradley PLCs (PLC5 / ControlLogix) to troubleshoot, modify, and support programs • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve recurring equipment issues • Support continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with maintenance team members What will make you successful? Required Education/Experience: • Certified Industrial Electrician License (442A or 309A) • High School Diploma or GED equivalent • Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial automation or manufacturing environment • Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written) Preferred Skills/Qualifications: • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs (PLC5 / ControlLogix) • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems • Experience with AC/DC motors, VFDs, and industrial troubleshooting• Familiarity with CMMS systems and industrial maintenance processes • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team • Physically capable to lift a minimum weight of 50 lbs Profile description: Hydro in North America is an Equal Opportunity Employer where all phases of employment are based strictly upon the qualifications of the individual as related to the work requirements of the position.
