Primavera P6 Scheduler – Mines Capital Projects The Primavera P6 Scheduler will be intermediate to advanced level user knowledge and be experienced in scheduling mining related construction projects in the software. Our Client is a leading Gold producer looking to expand their surface construction operations. This work is on site with 4 days (10 hr shifts) or 5 days (8hr shifts) working in a residential mine setting with the project team. There is potential for local shared housing. This is a large project that requires collaboration and team meetings in person so for the first 3 months the requirement is to be onsite 4-5 days/week (Mon-Thurs/Fri). Once the project is moving along there could be an opportunity to work from home 1 week/month. Job Tasks: Accountable and responsible to prepare schedule WBS in line with project scope and project delivery guidelines and validate with Project Managers & Superintendents, for sustaining capital and development projects. Accountable and responsible to incorporate budgeted hours of each deliverable to project planning and Contractor / Vendor / Supplier schedule to project baseline schedule. Review critical path, perform schedule levelling, and schedule quality check and collaborate with respective PMs and project leadership to facilitate effective decision making. Develop templates based on the basis of estimate to share with contractors during the tendering process Prepare weekly updates based on established progress report templates from the CLIENT Participate actively in the weekly coordination meetings with contractors Prepare bi-weekly construction planning meetings to keep the construction team on track with the schedule Conduct field inspections to monitor progress and compare against submitted progress reporting from contractors Accountable to stay up to date with relevant schedule related documents (e.g., scope document, project charter, project execution plan, cost estimate) and identify scheduling priorities for respective project portfolio. Accountable for the enforcing CLIENT standard tools and practices in project scheduling and liaising with internal and external stakeholder. Qualifications: The ideal applicant will have a post-secondary education in engineering, construction, technologists, or project management certification. 5 years minimum of P6 Primavera scheduling Intermediate/Advanced user of P6 Scheduling software Legally able to work in Canada – no visa or sponsorships will be available at this time Have experience scheduling mining construction and development work schedules How to Apply: Interested applicants should reach out to Michelle at [email protected] Note – this is for immediate employment and will be a contract term of 6 months with high likelihood of renewal as this project is multi-year/need.
