Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for a Full-time (1.0 FTE) Education Assistant at Mayerthorpe Jr/Sr High School Successful Candidate Responsibilities Provide support to our teaching staff in a variety of subjects Teacher Assistants Qualifications Educational Assistant Certificate (desirable) Preference Will Be Given To Candidates Who Establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents and staff Work collaboratively and co-operatively with teachers and other educational assistants in the classroom/school Understand and carry out oral and written direction Work independently with minimal instruction Demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills Respect confidentiality Practice professionalism with all MHS School students, staff, administration, parents and public Are aware of NGPS policies and administrative procedures Have an understanding of the teaching/learning process Have strong interpersonal skills and patience Enjoys working in a team environment Start Date: ASAP Hours: 31.25 hours per week—5 days/6.25 hours per day Wage Rate: $21.57/hour - $30.54/hour depending on qualifications and experience Application Process: Email a cover letter and resume, including references, by October 13, 2026, to: Ms. Kariann Roszko, Principal Mayerthorpe Jr/Sr High Phone: 780-786-2624 kariann.roszko@ngps.ca If shortlisted, applicants must bring to the interview a Release of Results of Vulnerable Sector Check that is current within three (3) months.
