Job summary

The Cook II is responsible for preparing and cooking meals, snacks, and beverages while managing food purchases. They also handle serving meals, setting up tables, and maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas.

Job details

We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Cook to fill a Casual position at the Fort St. John Health Unit. In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position performs a variety of food service duties such as arranging for food purchases; preparing and cooking meals, snacks, tea, coffee and other beverages; serving meals; measuring; setting up tables; cleaning kitchen and dining area and washing dishes and utensils. Works under the daily guidance of the Licensed Practical Nurse. Reports to the Home Support Supervisor. Works with other team members to provide the dietary program.

Requirements

The candidate must be hardworking and dedicated to providing dietary services within a health unit. They must be able to work under the guidance of a Licensed Practical Nurse and report to the Home Support Supervisor.
