Bourgoin Middle School We are seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) Educational Assistant commencing at the start of the 2026-2027 school year. This assignment involves assisting with student educational program needs including social skills, behaviour skills, self-help and personal care needs. This position requires a compassionate and energetic individual to work in a team environment. H.E. Bourgoin Middle School is located in the Town of Bonnyville with approximately 260 students from grades 5-8. H. E. Bourgoin Middle School is committed to young adolescences, has a shared vision, has high expectations for all, believes in an adult advocate for every student, has family and community partnership and has a positive school climate. Preference Will Be Given To Applicants Who Have Post-Secondary training and/or experience as an Educational Assistant Knowledge and experience with behavioral strategies Experience working one-on-one and/or in group settings Knowledge of documentation procedures and proficiency with computers Knowledge and experience in alternate communication strategies Experience assisting students with self-help and personal care needs Familiarity with strategies to address different learning styles and experience with Individual Program Plans Training And Skills That Would Be An Asset Include Relative experience in educational assistance, nursing and/or rehabilitation SIVA and/or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training How To Apply Interested applicants are required to create and complete all sections of their portfolio through the 'Apply On-Line' link on our website, in the employment section.
