Northern Lights Public Schools is a K-12 school division located in northeastern Alberta in the heart of the Lakeland region. We provide a variety of education options to families through our 27 schools, including six outreach schools and our new Learning Together Anywhere School which provides families an alternative to in-person classes. We serve approximately 6,000 students located throughout the Lakeland in three major hubs - Bonnyville, Cold Lake, and Lac La Biche - and their surrounding rural communities.

Develop and implement a high-quality, developmentally appropriate program, supporting consistent routines, smooth transitions, and the effective daily operation of Kinder Plus. Supervise and account for children throughout activities and transitions, uphold program policies and confidentiality, and provide guidance and performance input to the Early Childhood Assistant.

Lead an alternative learning program in a flexible setting, addressing learning gaps and tailoring coursework to students’ individual needs. Plan, teach, and assess learning while creating a supportive, inclusive classroom and collaborating with students, families, staff, and the school community.

Oversee the division’s privacy management, including Privacy Impact Assessments, its Privacy Management Plan, and the handling of privacy breaches. Manage records practices and retention schedules, as well as division information forms.

The teacher will provide effective planning, instruction, and assessment for Grade 8 students in Math, Social Studies, and Physical Education. They are responsible for creating an inclusive classroom environment and collaborating with the school community to ensure student success.
