Northern Lights Public Schools invites applications for the following position: S2627-38 Educational Assistant - Ardmore School We are seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) Educational Assistant commencing with the start of the 2026-2027 school year. This assignment involves assisting with student educational program needs including social skills, behaviour skills, self-help and personal care needs. This position requires a compassionate and energetic individual to work in a team environment. Ardmore School is located in the Hamlet of Ardmore with approximately 110 students in grades K to 8. Ardmore School's mission is to grow learning and achieve together while building lifelong learners through support and diversity. Preference Will Be Given To Applicants Who Have Post-Secondary training and/or experience as an Educational Assistant Knowledge and experience with behavioural strategies Experience working one-on-one and/or in a group setting Knowledge of documentation procedures and proficiency with computers Knowledge and experience in alternate communications strategies Experience assisting students with self-help and personal care needs Familiarity with strategies to address different learning styles and experience with Individual Program Plans Training And Skills That Would Be An Asset Include Relative experience in educational assistance, nursing and/or rehabilitation SIVA and/or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training How To Apply Interested applicants are required to create and complete all sections of their portfolio through the 'Apply On-Line' link on our website, in the employment section.
