Position Summary The Housekeeping Team Lead supports the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department by leading by example and ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are maintained to Cabot's luxury standards. This role assists Supervisors with room inspections, coaching team members, coordinating daily assignments, and supporting operational efficiency. The Housekeeping Team Lead serves as a resource for the housekeeping team while helping to ensure an exceptional guest experience through quality, consistency, and service excellence. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Support Lead by example and promote Cabot's service, cleanliness, and professional standards. Support the onboarding and training of new team members. Provide day-to-day guidance and coaching to Room Attendants, Housepersons, and Laundry Attendants. Assist Supervisors in monitoring productivity, quality, and departmental standards. Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team environment. Assist in communicating daily priorities, room assignments, and operational updates. Room Inspections & Quality Assurance Conduct guest room inspections to ensure Cabot's luxury standards are met. Follow up on deficiencies and ensure corrective action is completed promptly. Support quality control initiatives and brand standards. Ensure guestrooms, corridors, and designated areas are guest-ready at all times. Monitor housekeeping supplies and cleanliness standards throughout the property. Guest Service Respond professionally and promptly to guest requests and concerns. Assist with VIP arrivals, special requests, and room preparations. Support service recovery efforts when required. Promote a positive and welcoming guest experience throughout the property. Operations & Communication Collaborate closely with Housekeeping Supervisors, Front Office, Maintenance, Laundry, and other departments. Support efficient room turnover and timely room status updates. Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, and operational challenges. Assist with inventory counts and supply management as required. Complete additional duties and projects assigned. Follow and promote all company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Support compliance with WHMIS requirements and safe chemical handling practices. Help maintain a safe and professional work environment. Qualifications Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment required. Previous leadership, training, or supervisory experience is an asset. Strong understanding of housekeeping procedures, room inspections, and luxury cleanliness standards. Ability to lead by example and motivate team members. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Skills & Competencies Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and support team members.
