The Pharmacist Team Leader provides clinical orientation, education, and resource support to the clinical pharmacy team in Cardiology and takes a lead role in clinical research, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives designed to improve medication-use processes or pharmacy practice. Additionally, they help coordinate and take a lead in mentoring and preceptorship for hospital pharmacy residents, pharmacy students, and other interprofessional learners. This role requires communication, liaison, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including Pharmacy & Cardiology Leadership & Quality teams, interdisciplinary committees and other groups (e.g., OPOR Pharmacy, Order-Set Coordinator, IV & Formulary subcommittees, IPPL, etc.) to achieve the above responsibilities.About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following: • Graduate of a recognized School of Pharmacy• Eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia Pharmacy Regulator required• Completion of a Hospital pharmacy residency program and/or equivalent related direct patient care experience (minimal 2 years) in a hospital setting preferred• BLS (Basic Life Support) required• Experience with the Oracle Health Clinical Information System, including PharmNet and Medication Manager, and prior hospital pharmacy dispensary experience required• Strong knowledge in clinical therapeutics and pharmacist prescribing required • Knowledge of medication & patient safety best practices required• Strong teaching ability/experience required• Experience in critical appraisal of scientific literature required• Experience in evidence based clinical research or quality improvement methodology an asset• Proven effective oral and written communication skills required• Experience as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team required• Ability to prioritize work responsibilities and to work well under time pressures required• Demonstrated interest in professional development and lifelong learning required• Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred Please ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.Hours Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly Compensation and Benefits $54.29 - $66.94 hourly Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.What You'll Love About Nova Scotia Health Nova Scotia Health is more than the province's largest provider of health services; we're a team driven by excellence in health, healing and learning. Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of a recognized School of Pharmacy and eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia Pharmacy Regulator. A minimum of two years of hospital pharmacy experience and completion of a hospital pharmacy residency program are preferred.
