Req ID: 227352Location: Central Zone, Halifax Infirmary Summer Street Entrance - QEII Department: OPCZ Cardiac Electrodiag UnitType of Employment: Temporary Hourly FT long-assignment (100%) x 1 Union: NSGEU Healthcare PositionPosting Closing Date: 19-Oct-26About the Opportunity Reporting to the Health Services Manager, the Registered Cardiology Technologist Advanced evaluates and assists in the diagnosis of patients’ cardiac status through a variety of noninvasive cardiac diagnostic tests. Responsibilities include preparing patients for and performing site-wide electrocardiograms, signal-averaged electrocardiograms, ambulatory monitoring (Holter/Event Monitor preliminary reporting), and physician-assisted exercise tolerance testing (stress testing). The Registered Cardiology Technologist Advanced also provides preceptorship and mentorship to new learners within the department.About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following: Grade 12 plus successful completion of a Cardiology Technology program or acceptable equivalent Current registration and good standing with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists Current BLS (HCP) certification Strong sense of initiative and responsibility Ability to adapt to flexible workload and stressful situations Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred Please ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.Hours Long assignment full-time position; 75 hours biweekly Approximately 18 months Compensation and Benefits $32.48 - $36.65 hourly Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
