Req ID: 227392Location: Eastern Zone, Cape Breton Regional Hospital Department: OPEZ Electrodiagnostic Lab CBRType of Employment: Casual Hourly FT short-assignment (100%) x 1 Union: UNIFOR Healthcare PositionPosting Closing Date: 13-Oct-26About the Opportunity The Registered Cardiology Technologist performs the following noninvasive cardiac diagnostic tests: Electrocardiograms, Signal Average Electrocardiograms, Ambulatory Monitoring (Holter Scanning/Interpretation Event Loop Recorder), and physician-assisted Exercise Tolerance Testing (Stress Testing). The Technologist prepares patients for ambulatory monitoring which is a non-invasive monitoring device worn by patients for 24 hours (Holter) or several weeks (Loop). The Technologist is responsible for preparing patients requiring stress and tilt table testing, performing stress tests under the direct supervision of the Cardiologist. The Registered Cardiology Technologist will also be responsible for precepting/mentoring all new learners in the department. Travel to other sites may be required.About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following: Grade 12 plus successful completion of a Cardiology Technology program or acceptable equivalent Current registration and good standing with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists Where there are no candidate meeting the above qualifications, consideration may be given to those who are currently enrolled in a Cardiology Technology program. If offered employment, placement will be on the Unregistered Cardiology Technologist scale.
