Job Description Bridgewater is seeking full-time and part-time Family Physicians interested in a diverse, full-scope practice that includes providing satellite services to the community of Caledonia in North Queens at least one day per week. Join an established collaborative family practice working alongside physicians, NPs, nurses, social workers to provide primary care to the community. In addition to incorporating patient care in Caledonia, you can broaden you practice with opportunities to pursue areas of personal and professional interest, including hospitalist rotations at South Shore Regional Hospital (SSRH), low-risk obstetrics, teaching medical students and FM residents, nursing home care, and leadership roles. A new collaborative family medicine practice is being built to serve the community of Bridgewater and surrounding area. South Shore Regional Hospital Responsibilities provide comprehensive, full-scope primary health care to practice patients of all ages and stages of health and illness maintain timely and accurate patient records using a provincially approved electronic medical record (EMR) participate in quality improvement, practice evaluation, and other activities that support the delivery of safe, effective, patient-centered care attend regular physician and team meetings comply with the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, policies, and professional standards of Nova Scotia Health partake in continuing medical education (CME), professional development opportunities and teaching (if applicable) Expected Hours Full-time Equivalency: 0.5 FTE weekly hours: 19 call schedule: associated with hospitalist and low-risk obstetrics 46/52 weeks per year Remuneration Longitudinal Family Medicine (LFM) contract approximately $188,000 - $200,00 CAD family physicians in Nova Scotia are compensated based on the LFM payment model or Fee for Service (FFS) Incentives Eligible physicians may qualify for recruitment incentives, relocation support and site visit reimbursement through Nova Scotia Health and the Province of Nova Scotia. Requirements
