Job Description Join an established collaborative family practice in Yarmouth, working alongside 4 physicians, NP, nurses, social worker, dietician, pharmacist and a practice facilitator to provide primary care to the community. Ocean View Family Practice offers a procedure room, with opportunities for hospital work, ED, teaching, and procedures as Ocean View Family Practice is attached to the Yarmouth Regional Hospital (YRH). They have a team-based, patient-centered and accessible vision for primary care which is aligned with the Patient Medical Home model of primary care. Physicians in this practice will offer urgent care access and support the Dalhousie Family Medicine Residency program that is based out of the clinic. Successful candidates may participate in teaching with Family Medicine residents and medical students through Dalhousie University. Responsibilities provide comprehensive, full-scope primary health care to practice patients of all ages and stages of health and illness maintain timely and accurate patient records using a provincially approved electronic medical record (EMR) participate in quality improvement, practice evaluation, and other activities that support the delivery of safe, effective, patient-centered care attend regular physician and team meetings comply with the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, policies, and professional standards of Nova Scotia Health partake in continuing medical education (CME) and professional development opportunities participate in teaching of medical learners provide improved access of care to clinic patients by participating in urgent care rotation support the Dalhousie Family Medicine Residency program Expected Hours Full-time Equivalency: 0.5 - 1.0 FTE weekly hours: 40 hours per week call schedule: as applicable 46/52 weeks per year Remuneration Longitudinal Family Medicine (LFM) contract approximately $375,000 - $400,000 CAD family physicians in Nova Scotia are compensated based on the LFM payment model or Fee for Service (FFS) Incentives Eligible physicians may qualify for recruitment incentives, relocation support and site visit reimbursement through Nova Scotia Health and the Province of Nova Scotia. Requirements
