Required Qualifications and Experience Valid Nova Scotia Teacher Certification Bachelor of Education - Secondary ELA Major or Minor Desired Experience and Attributes Professional development in ELA Experience teaching ELA Experience teaching grades 7-12 Know, respond to, and engage all students. Know the subjects they teach and how to teach them. Use ‘Assessment for and of Learning’ to guide teaching and learning. Create safe and positive learning environments.
