NuBuild Contracting is a growing civil construction and utility infrastructure contractor specializing in underground utilities, fibre optic networks, directional drilling, excavation, hydro-vac services, and heavy civil construction. We are currently seeking a Mobile Lube Technician to join our expanding Fleet & Equipment team. In this hands-on, field-based position, you will be responsible for providing mobile lubrication, preventative maintenance, inspections, and basic servicing for NuBuild's fleet of construction equipment, trucks, and support vehicles across active job sites. Key Responsibilities Preventative Maintenance: Execute scheduled grease, oil, fluid, filter, and routine servicing on heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers. Inspections & Diagnostics: Perform daily equipment checks (fluid levels, belts, hoses, tires, batteries) and report leaks, damage, or mechanical issues. Mobile Field Service: Operate out of a company service truck to complete on-site calls across various NuBuild work locations. Documentation & Safety: Maintain accurate service records and strictly adhere to environmental regulations, safe disposal protocols, and company safety policies. Fleet Upkeep: Keep the service truck, lubrication equipment, tools, and parts inventory clean, organized, and safe. Collaboration: Coordinate closely with project supervisors, operators, and the fleet team to minimize equipment downtime. Qualifications & Experience Experience: 1+ years as a Lube Technician, Heavy Equipment Technician, or Fleet Maintenance Tech (construction or utility industry experience is an asset). Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of preventative maintenance and lubrication practices. Soft Skills: Ability to work independently, prioritize service requests, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, while demonstrating good communication and organizational skills. Licensing: Valid Class G driver’s licence with a clean driving record (DZ licence strongly preferred). Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, navigate active construction sites, and safely lift, climb, and perform physical servicing tasks. Certifications: Mechanical or heavy equipment tickets/certifications are considered an asset. What We Offer Competitive wages commensurate with experience.
