We are a small animal practice that fosters a supportive and enjoyable work environment. You will have the opportunity to flex a variety of skill sets outside of annual visits and routine surgeries as there is no emergency clinic close by. Our team is fun-loving (we enjoy a good "dad joke") and work well together in stressful situations to provide the best medicine. NVA Canada’s VT Practicum Program offers final-year veterinary technician students the chance to gain real-world experience in a supportive, dynamic environment. Work alongside experienced veterinarians and RVTs at in to develop your clinical skills in patient care, laboratory procedures, anesthesia, surgical assistance, radiology and more. Enhance your communication abilities with medical teams and clients, preparing you for a successful career as an RVT. Practicums range from two to eight weeks, fitting your schedule and career goals. Eligible students (those enrolled in an accredited VT program in Canada and completing their final practicum in their final year) can receive a stipend to help with travel expenses, allowing you to focus on learning without financial worries.

Requirements

Applicants must be final-year students enrolled in an accredited veterinary technician program in Canada and completing their final practicum during their final year. The practicum lasts two to eight weeks, with scheduling intended to fit the student's schedule and career goals.
