Each year, more than 14 million people worldwide are diagnosed with cancer and more than eight million people die from the disease. New tools are urgently needed to better prevent, detect, diagnose and treat cancer so that people can live longer and healthier lives. The Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR) is a collaborative, not-for-profit research institute that conducts and enables high-impact translational cancer research to accelerate the development of discoveries for patients around the world while maximizing the economic benefit of this research for the people of Ontario. The Research Technician II will perform automated and manual library construction and high-throughput genomic sequencing using various NGS platforms. They will also ensure instrument efficiency, perform quality control, and assist in the coordination of clinical and research sequencing projects.

The Project Manager will support the President and Scientific Director in developing and executing institutional initiatives to foster collaboration and advance cancer research. They will lead cross-functional projects, manage budgets, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives through effective planning and stakeholder engagement.

The Senior Analyst manages research program budgets, payments, and financial reconciliation processes while acting as the primary system administrator for CaAwardNet. They also provide data analysis, performance reporting, and business support to ensure project alignment with strategic goals.

The Buyer will assist the Procurement department in executing supply chain processes and managing vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost efficiency. Responsibilities include processing purchase orders, managing mobile accounts, reconciling transactions, and maintaining procurement databases.

The Research Technician will perform molecular biology laboratory techniques such as PCR and qPCR to support genomic research projects. They are also responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, documenting experimental results, and ensuring compliance with ISO 15189/CLIA standards.

The technician will perform sample accessioning, histology, and DNA/RNA extraction from human tissues within the Diagnostic Development team. They are responsible for maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with laboratory accreditation standards.
