They are highly organized and thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Senior Cooks are expected to lead their station with confidence, give clear instructions, and work independently while following direction from the Sous Chef and Executive Chef. With exceptional attention to detail, they play a key role in mentoring junior cooks and effectively troubleshooting any issues that arise during service.You will be cooking for some of Toronto’s most exclusive events, private parties, and corporate functions.You’re eager to learn and open to feedback, direction, and coaching from the Sous Chef, Chef, and General Manager.You approach each service with enthusiasm and proactively prepare and organize your station according to Oliver & Bonacini (O&B) standards.You follow recipes, portion controls, and plating specifications with precision and consistency.You maintain a clear and accurate prep list for your station duties.You understand and apply the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to ensure product freshness and reduce waste.You’re a team player who readily assists with receiving and properly storing deliveries.Like us, you're passionate about cleanliness and ensure food prep areas, tools, and equipment meet the highest sanitation and food safety standards.You strictly adhere to WHMIS guidelines.You’re flexible and ready to take on additional responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications2–3 years of cooking experience in a fast-paced, high-volume event or restaurant environmentCulinary diploma or degree is considered an assetStrong understanding of professional cooking techniques and knife handling skillsAbility to take direction, work efficiently, and remain calm under pressurePhysically able to stand for extended periods (100% of shift)Valid Food Handler Certification is a plusAvailable to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as requiredLegally eligible to work in CanadaAdditional InformationThis is a current vacancy.Hour Rate: $19 - $22 + gratuitiesAI Disclosure To ensure a fair and efficient recruitment process, some aspects of candidate screening may be conducted using AI software.
