Job summary

Summary: This position ensures that all food and beverage service in the Consort Bar are personalized, professional, and upheld to the standards required by Omni on a consistent basis. This posting represents an existing vacancy. Responsibilities: Greet guests as they are seated to the table Efficiently and properly perform all service standards and food handling regulations Able to suggest recommendations and address questions regarding dietary restrictions Present orders to guests in a prompt, courteous, and efficient manner Engage with guests and work as a team to ensure a seamless, personalized, and elevated experience Present accurate check and process payment Clean tables and maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift Perform all required duties related to start, during, and end of shift tasks Attend pre-shift briefing with manager and team Attend training and other mandatory meetings at the hotel when required Requirements Minimum 1 year serving experience required Previous serving experience in a four-star/four-diamond hotel or resort preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Fluency in English is required; other languages are an asset. Previous experience using MICROS POS an asset Basic knowledge of food and beverages required Must be able to maintain service standards while under pressure Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work Days, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays Must be able to lift up to 25lbs, walk and stand comfortably for the duration of a shift Must be Smart Serve Certified Must be familiar with and adhere to all liquor laws Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Requirements
